So I'm nearing the 'alpha' release of my own project, a new site to move forward with the Eve blogging community.

A new Eve bloggers community site is coming
Evebloggers.com is being killed off in a few days, and I'm hearing that people who are approaching @MarcScaurus to take it over are being ignored. That doesn't surprise me, and I still believe he's trying to force a killing off of Eve bloggers in order to get more people across to themittani.com.

Another new travelling blog
There's another travelling blog out there that I wanted to do a shout-out to. One of the members of the Interstellar Geographic Society corp, Brother XII, has gone off on some travels around the galaxy, similar to my own - exploring the galaxy one system at a time.
You can find their blog here:
Make sure you follow them as well, if you want to enjoy their travels around the galaxy from their own unique perspective.

A home for introverts
June 11. That's when I last engaged in actually travelling. And here it is, June 27. That's like, 16 days I've been sitting in the current system, not moving, always cloaked.
I think the locals are wondering what the hell I'm doing...
What have I been doing?

The evebloggers.com conspiracy
Back in 2009 I created evebloggers.com for the Eve Online blogging community. It was a resource to showcase the latest posts from all the Eve bloggers out there, on one website. With hundreds of hits a day, it was very popular and a much needed resource to keep track of all the Eve blogs and what they were up to.
I managed this from 2009 through to 2012, updating the site with new blogs and removing inactive blogs. However, life has a way of introducing distractions, and in 2012 I had very little time to continue maintaining it.

You've got a bad attitude!
There's this expectation many pilots have in New Eden that the only valid method of existence is to engage in combat-PvP (pilot vs. pilot). They're so committed to this idea, that they will seek out and engage in combat-PvP against anyone that they feel violates what they think is the only way to play.
Wardecs are made against those who think differently. Hunting parties are organised against those who try to avoid combat-PvP. Attempts are made to teach non-combative pilots the 'error of their ways', and a good time is had by all those pilots who engage against those who want to avoid it.

What's your personality type?
One of the things I often find fascinating is the understanding of personality types. It's even more fascinating to understand the personalities of those who play Eve. I know there's an Eve personality test, but that's just about the game. I'm talking about you, the player. What's your personality type?
There's tests out there that people can do, but most people like a quick way of determining their personality type without needing to do a test. They might not have enough time, or maybe their personality type just doesn't like doing tests! So I thought it would be a great idea to allow you to quickly work out what your personality type is likely to be.

Running the Gatecamp Gauntlet
One of the things I'm doing is teaching TOURING members how to survive the perils of travelling around New Eden. It's a great feeling to know that some of the guides I've written for the members to study actually work at keeping them alive - if they read and remember them, of course.
So one of the TOURING members had their very first encounter with a gate camp today, and after getting all excited about how he survived, and thanking the guides that were available to TOURING members, I asked him if he'd write up a report of his adventure. Here it is for your enjoyment.

Can a pacifist corp win a war?
Isn't that an interesting question. In New Eden, where 'might makes right', and disputes are settled at the end of high-powered ship weaponry, one might ask, how can pacifism succeed when war has been declared?
I think it can, and while it might not be easy to fulfil, I think it's easily possible. It would require adherence to some basic concepts, however.

An interview with an AWOXer
AWOXing is something I've been hearing a lot about lately. An AWOXer is someone who infiltrates a corp in order to put themselves in a position of trust so that they can take advantage of it by being given expensive corp assets to move or use, which they'll then take for themselves, or they'll attack other corp members (which are also called Safaris).
It's quite a fascinating career choice, and it might occur more often than you think. I'm interested in finding out more about it, and so I bring you today's interview with an AWOXer. The information she provides here is amazing, and I think that if you're serious about running a corp as a CEO, then you should take notice of what you learn here.

An interview with a fellow traveller
It's becoming a bit of a habit, which I don't mind at all - interviewing people that I find as I travel around New Eden. I really enjoy this, finding people to interview, and exploring their experiences and their motivations and their goals. Everyone in New Eden has a story, and I love finding out a bit about their story.
Today's interview is with Mercurye, a fellow traveller who I met via the New Eden recruitment forums. One thing led to another, and here's the interview I did with her. I hope you enjoy!

23 tips for surviving lowsec
With TOURING's focus on travel without dying, I'm going to be posting a few articles here and there on how to travel around New Eden without dying. Some articles have been done by me many years ago, but are still relevant today, so I'll be reprinting or rewriting some of them. This is one of those articles.
It's for those of you who want to travel in lowsec (low security space, between 0.1 and 0.4). I know there's a few non-combat oriented pilots that read this blog, and most of TOURING's members are non-combat pilots too. You might have never flown a ship in combat against another pilot, or if you have, you've lost because you didn't know what you're doing. So here's a few tips (ok, a whole bunch of tips!) on how to survive out there.

Touring New Eden is for the hippie space ninjas
Hippie - a person who rejects conventional society to live a life based on peace and love.
Space - the vast emptiness that we call New Eden.
Ninjas - expert practitioners of stealth and evasion.

Day 28 - Insmother
Another day... But today is a very interesting new day. You see, last night I learned something that I didn't know before. All this time I've been travelling from system to system, from gate to planet to gate, avoiding catch bubbles along the way. And you know what I learned?

Day 27 - Insmother
So after doing some blog updates and corp administration, I got straight back into it. Let the travels commence!
An interview with the CEO of OUCH
I started playing Eve back in 2006, as Black Claw. Over the years, I've done a lot of things, put my hand into many different ventures. Even started a new character (Alexia Morgan) to focus on a career of covert ops PVP. One of my ventures was creating the Open University of Celestial Hardship (OUCH) to provide noobs and carebears nullsec survival and PVP training.

Don't fall in love with your ship
Many pod pilots get amazingly attached to their ships. It's almost as if their ship is a loved partner or something. They go through elaborate ceremonies with building, naming, and flying their beloved. And then they lose it in act of violent destruction, and their life, for a brief moment, seems like it's come to an end.
An interview with a highsec griefer
One of the things I've enjoyed doing in the past is interviewing people I've met in my travels. I'm going to be doing that again, and my first interview this year is with:
Tenaris Zeratul of the Killmail Crusaders

Latest donations from generous supporters
I can't do this without the support of those who generously donate to help me travel the New Eden cluster. Thanks to them, I can afford to replace my ship should I get attacked and lose it.
I'm trying to get around the entire cluster of more than 5,000 systems without losing the ship. An ambitious goal, I know, but I do think it's achievable.

Day 26 - Insmother
I've been busy. Ever since getting back into my ship I've had to fly from Berta (Derelik) back to where I left off in Insmother. A full 40 jumps back through lowsec and into nullsec.
But it's been a fantastic time! I've had some ideas that I've followed through on while I've been slowly making my way back to where I needed to be.

Rules of Corp Membership
I was thinking about rules today, and applying them in the corp structure. Now, I know that part of my recruitment spiel is:
[are you looking for] a corporation that allows you to do your own thing in your own time?So I was trying to reconcile that against having rules. How can members do their own thing if there's still rules?
OOC: A new version of 'Eve Bloggers Portal' is coming soon
A long time ago I started www.evebloggers.com, a portal for those blogging about Eve Online. Back then there were HUNDREDS of people blogging about their experiences in the game.
Today, not so much.

Corp Recruitment is Open!
I've started advertising for new recruits to join my corp, Touring New Eden. The recruitment thread is here:
Are you a traveller, solo pilot or nomad?
Go have a read and then sign up to join the corp if you're interested.
I know not everyone will be interested, but if you're a traveller, solo pilot or nomad looking for a good home, I hope you'll join!

OOC: Eve Bloggers
It looks like www.evebloggers.com is dead. It's still showing new posts from blogs that have been added in the past, but no site updates or new blog additions have been done since July 2012 - coincidentally, that was when I last updated it...

Well, that didn't work out very well
You're asking, what didn't work out very well?
- Inflaming the passions of Matari everywhere.
- Me taking a break from the game. Again.
Both of them didn't work out very well.
